Monte Carvoeiro Resort

Monte Dourado is a brilliant, safe environment and I would definitely recommend it. Monte Dourado is slightly out of the 'centre' of the town-but please do not hesitate because of this; a 5-10min walk (depending on where you stay within the resort) will bring you down to A'Vela on Rua do Barranco. The apartments we stayed in where clean and comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. OK so the hill is a little steep, but I prefer this to the million steps you walk up to get to Colina Branca Townhouses. There isn't a play park etc. for children, but I'm sure with the pool they'd be fine. Great for walking along to Casa das Palmerias Restaurant. Also there is a little supermarket not far either. And tennis courts too!

Casa do Bife: Great atmosphere

Really nice little restuarant on Estrada do Farol. Staff always friendly-especially young blonde German girl. We loved the 'stone-steak', where you part cook your steak yourself-however not to some people's tastes. Large TV screens! Would highly recommend this restaurant with the usual word of advice, quite small so advice booking in busy season advised. will certainly visit this establishment on our next visit

Slide & Splash: Great day out!

Brilliant waterpark, staff responsive and speak good English. It sounds stupid, but i reccommend bringing socks as ground very rough-and starts to get uncomfortable :) Great if you have hired a car, just use the map on the back of the free leaflets (you'll get them in most shops etc). However travelling by taxi is fine too. Well worth a visit, not overally busy-which is always good, obviously some slides busier than others! Good large jacuzzi for adults. Also huge pool and kids water-play park. Try it out- The kids will love the day out- maybe then you can persuade them to do something you want to do!

Taste Restaurant: TASTY!

Arrived without booking - no problem, although there were no tables available in the balcony area the waiter showed us to a table just inside but the wonderful homely décor made up for it anyway.The couverts were great-quite 'posh' compared to others in Carvoeiro! Wine is reasonably priced-which is also good. I had fillet steak, which was HUGE and perfectly cooked.They offer a wide array of tapas too though. A great selection of desserts, which was another thing that attracted us when we eplored the menu during the day. Throuhgout all this, the waiting staff were very friendly and courteous - very attentive but not pushy, they gave us all the time we needed to enjoy the meal and the surroundings. There is a little bar area which is great for before or after the meal. Would definitely go back to this restaurant, it was TASTY!

Clumbo's Restaurant: Good but Pricey!

Really good little restaurant at the bottom of Estrada Do. Farol. Staff were ok, nothing to report though. Ok. So the food is good but maybe a little pricey. The steaks are cooked to perfection, altough this is one of the very few restaurants we never re-visited... Overall, we thought for the price you pay-it's really not worth it! Go over to for example Mistral-you'll get the same steak half the price. It's....OK.

O Indiano (O Castelo): Best Indian!

THE BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN ALGARVE!? CARVOEIRO-BY FAR
I have visited this restaurant many times, and the food, staff and overall ambience has NEVER failed to impress me. The views are totally stunning, especially from the balcony-which i reccommend booking ahead-its worth it. However inside is ample. O Indiano offers a fine selection of indian cusine, and which i think is a nice touch lights a candle and puts it under your dish to keep it warm. The staff are always polite and eager to help. Honestly not a bad word to say-Brilliant.

Casa Algarvia: Wonderful, that's all to say!

Absolutely Fantastic restaurant! Great food, especially their seafood-typically Portuguese: which I love! Definitely recommend their 'Beef Portuguese Style' Rich and tangy! Good value for money-never disappointed me yet! The Restaurant can get a little cramped-so MAKE SURE TO RESERVE! I'd say this in my top 5 places to eat in Carvoeiro! Worth a visit.... Shout out to the brilliant Anita!

Restaurante A’Vela: É fantástico!!

Restaurante A’Vela is a great restaurant on Rua do Barranco, As its name ’A’Vela’ translates as The Sail it has a warm seaside theme. A highlight is the complementary tapas-style couverts such as tuna bean salad and octopus with salad or you can go for the traditional bread and butter served with a great olive and garlic paste. Cheesy Potatoes are a great side dish served here; you can also reserve ‘Crackling Pig’ on Wednesdays. Sprechen sie deutsch? Parlez-vous français? Antonia speaks perfect German, French, English and Portuguese so you will feel at home wherever you come from! This family restaurant is great value for money and will suit everyone believe me i have visited it many times. É fantástico!!
