Restaurante A’Vela is a great restaurant on Rua do Barranco, As its name ’A’Vela’ translates as The Sail it has a warm seaside theme. A highlight is the complementary tapas-style couverts such as tuna bean salad and octopus with salad or you can go for the traditional bread and butter served with a great olive and garlic paste. Cheesy Potatoes are a great side dish served here; you can also reserve ‘Crackling Pig’ on Wednesdays. Sprechen sie deutsch? Parlez-vous français? Antonia speaks perfect German, French, English and Portuguese so you will feel at home wherever you come from! This family restaurant is great value for money and will suit everyone believe me i have visited it many times. É fantástico!!
